Ennerdale
Set in the remote Ennerdale valley the lake remains unsullied by
the inexorable march of man. There is no road of any note in the shore
area of the lake and no nearby dwellings or attractions. What Ennerdale
offers the visitor is solitude and beautiful scenery. This most easterly
of the Lake District lakes is 4.02 m long, 1.2 m wide and, at its
deepest, is 51.2 m.
