Kentmere

Kentmere reservoir was created by damming streams at the head of the River Kent to create one large body of water. The reservoir was created to provide a regular water supply to the mills at nearby Staveley.

To the western shore of the reservior lies Ill Bell (756m) and to the north is High Street (823m) and Kidsty Pike. The reservoir can be reached via minor roads and paths off Kirkstone Pass.  index
