Bowfell
At 899m Bowfell, one of the Langdale fells, is the 9th highest mountain
in the Lake District. Situated at the northern end of Langdale's Long
Valley, the fell jostles for position with other fine mountains such
as the Pike of Blisco and Crinkle Crags.
Bowfell is a mountaineer's dream with its sharp ascents and tricky
faces. The views offered to the successful climber are breathtaking,
with the Pennines to the east and the Isle of Man to the west.
