Borrowdale

One half of the famous jaws of Borrowdale, Castle Crag, is rumoured to have been the site of a Roman fort giving the valley its name. The valley is extremely popular with walkers, many marvelling at the famous Bowder Stone, a gigantic boulder left behind by a glacier. more
