Eden Valley
Nestling in the eastern part of Cumbria, this valley was created
by glacial movements in the last Ice Age. Eden Valley is named after
the River Eden, that flows throughout it into the Solway Firth on
the northern coast of the county.
Quaint villages such as Armathwaite nestle in splendid isolation,
interrupted only by the passing of the steam railway line from Settle
to Carlisle which runs throughout the valley.
