Bassenthwaite Village

Set to the west of the impressive mountain Great Calva, Bassenthwaite village sits on the north-east shore of Bassenthwaite Lake. To the east of the A591 Bassenthwaite village is easily accessible to the tourist searching for a quieter corner of the Lake District.

To the south of the village lies the Bassenthwaite church.
