Borrowdale

Borrowdale is one of the main settlements in it's eponymous valley. Set to the south of Rosthwaite just off the B25968 under the imposing gaze of Ullscarf, Borrowdale is a popular destination for visitors to the area.

The scenery around Borrowdale is some of the best in the Lake District. Borrowdale valley is extremely popular with walkers, many marvelling at the famous Bowder Stone, a gigantic boulder left behind by a glacier.
