Troutbeck

Troutbeck is a small village to the north of Windermere set in Troutbeck valley. Below the village runs the Trout Beck that lends its name to the village. Troutbeck is part of a conservation area set up to maintain the unique beauty of the area.

The village is a collection of traditional Lakeland farmhouses and cottages many unchanged for centuries. Until fairly recently wells were the only source of water for this isolated beauty spot.
